Frequently asked questions

Why does a longer tenure cost more?+

A longer tenure lowers the monthly EMI but keeps the balance outstanding longer, increasing total interest.

Does a prepayment reduce EMI or tenure?+

Depending on lender instructions, it may reduce either. Reducing tenure usually saves more interest when the EMI is maintained.

Is the interest rate annual?+

Yes. The entered annual rate is converted to a monthly rate for the EMI formula.

Are registration and stamp duty included?+

No. Property purchase costs and lender charges should be budgeted separately.
